Wool Care: Moths, Humidity, and Seasonal Storage
Clean wool before storage, roll never fold, and add cedar with airflow — not plastic traps. Humidity control beats chemical overload.

Moths target protein soiled by dust and skin cells. Vacuum both sides seasonally; if storing, wash or professionally clean first, then roll with acid-free paper.
Avoid long-term plastic wrap — it traps moisture and encourages mildew. Breathable cotton rug bags in stable interior closets outperform attics or basements.
In humid climates, run a dehumidifier in the rug room during peak months; rotate the rug quarterly so wear and light exposure stay even.
