Time did something beautiful to this rug. The center glows amber — the natural patina of decades of Atlas sunlight absorbed into the ivory wool, warming it from white to gold, from new to lived-in, from made to beloved. Around this golden heart, bold red coral zigzag lines form a large open diamond — the oldest protective symbol in the Berber visual language — still vivid, still alive, still doing its job after all these years. The Amber Heart is a vintage rug that time has improved.
